Louise lectured about our experience designing and building the Derfner Judaica Museum as a prototype for creating inclusive public spaces for our current and future elderly. There is no time like the present to address issues of universal design because of the surge in the elderly population of the advancing baby boom generation. Boomers want sophisticated “more than accessible” cultural institutions. This is we, as architects, must provide.
